1. Professor Thilo Rehren (The Cyprus Institute) / Topic: Technical Ceramics in Archaeometallurgy & Fundamentals in Gold and Silver

2. Associate Professor Liu Siran (Institute of History of Science and Cultural Heritage, University of Science and Technology Beijing) / Topic: Bronze production and material circulation in the Shang Dynasty

3. Associate Professor Lin Yongchang (Department of Anthropology, Chinese University of Hong Kong) / Topic: Development of Iron and Steel Technology in East Asia

4. Dr. Melissa Cadet (Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinica) / Topic: Technologies and ancient copper exchange networks in Southeast Asia (late Prehistory-Early Historic Periods)

5. Laboratory visits and lecturers will lead participants to inspect and discuss archaeological metallurgical samples .

‧ Registration period: April 15, 2023 to April 29, 2023 (closed)

‧ Fee: Deposit of NT$500 (Full participation will be refunded after the event ends; check-in and check-out records on the day will be used as the basis.) Student members of the Taiwan Archaeological Society are eligible for accommodation and transportation subsidies. ‧ Number of applicants: 20 (Students from departments and institutes related to archaeology, members of academic societies, and colleagues working in related fields will be given priority)

‧ Registration method: Please fill in the registration form: https://forms.gle/keajZdJ2pBeCHtm8A . After review, the confirmation notice will be announced and sent on May 11, 2023.

‧ Cancellation and Refund: Refund requests should be sent via email to societyarchtaiwan@gmail.com at least 14 days before the workshop. We will make a replacement based on the reserve list. If a reserve is successfully found, we will refund the full amount. If there is no reserve, 50% of the fee will be refunded, minus the transfer fee. No refund will be given for cancellations within 7 days before the workshop start date . If you encounter any difficulties, please contact us as soon as possible.
